I’m a bit confused about the sizes. A women’s large is usually a men’s small. Any suggestions?

  2. Hi, Debbie–thanks for asking! We’ve found that these sizes run just a wee bit smaller than regular men’s shirts. Isabel and I (Karen) wear medium and small shirts, respectively. We will try to post some pictures soon of people wearing the shirts and identify the sizes, to give folks a better idea of how that works.

Hi you guys. It was great meeting you yesterday at the expo center. I’m the photog who wants to shoot a chicken in a shirt. I bought a onsie and the more I think about it the 6 mos size is way to small. Know you are busy this weekend buy you have my card and if you could give me a call and I could exchange it even for a toddler t I think that’s a better idea.
    thanks

  4. Hi! We don’t mean to be ignoring you–have just been really busy. We’ll do our best to call you, but if you get a chance to call us first, please do: 503-929-7170.

Take care, and we’re very much looking forward to seeing you again soon–and doing the ChickenShirtShoot!

    =)

I love the design. any chance you could put in on a tank top or hoodie? I never regular t shirts

    (a ladies tank top)

  6. We definitely plan on making a hoodie, but not in the summer… We have also had requests for ladies’ tees. If we have enough requests for those (or enough retailers that want to carry them), we will get ‘em made. Till then…we could make one as a special order if you would be willing to pay a bit extra for it. Then you could have our own unique Chicken Shirt! :)

  7. heather foster says:

I can either wait for the hoodie or pay a little extra for it. i don’t need it right away. But, as a happy chicken owner I’d really like to get one. i would also be happy to pay extra for a summer tank top!

  8. Heather-Just wanted to make sure you knew that we are now making hoodies! We have S, M, and L gray hoodies in Chicken Shirts, Goat Tee, and Bull. They are available at local retailers, and also online at http://www.ChickenShirt.info.

  9. Kathy Manville says:

When will you have more stock in women’s Chicken Shirts?

  10. Thanks for the question! We make unisex shirts, so don’t normally have ladies’ cut shirts available. Is there a particular feature that you’re interested in? For instance, a v-neck, or shorter sleeves? We welcome input on our range of options, and if we get to a critical mass of people wanting similar things, we will certainly make those shirts available. Also, if you’re interested in a custom order, we can make that happen; we’d just have to talk with you about what exactly you’re looking for… Don’t hesitate to e-mail Karen.Pyle@IndependenceGardensPDX.com to start that conversation!

  11. Kelly says:

I saw your shirts at Portland Nursery and fell in love!! I want to get one of the 50/50 shirts for my brother but he’s skinny and tall with a long torso. Do you happen to know the difference in length between an adult large and XL? I just want to make sure it’s long enough.

  12. Hi Kelly! Thanks for the message.

The difference is only an inch or so between L and XL; Karen’s brother is the same way, and he generally wears a L, ’cause he likes the shirts to fit rather snugly. If you buy one and he ends up needing a different size, just get in touch with us–we’ll help you with the exchange.

  13. Kelly says:

Thank you so much for the answer. That definitely helps.

With the shipping, since I’m local, do I have to have it shipped or can I come pick it up?

  14. We can generally arrange drop-offs/pick-ups, but with everyone’s busy schedules, sometimes it actually works better to mail the shirts in the end!!
