Project Kits

Why Project Kits?

We offer Project Kits to fit a variety of budgets and lifestyles: from a materials list + step-by-step how-to for DIYers to a full install for folks who want a jump-start to get going on a project they will maintain themselves.

We use Forest Stewardship Council-certified doug fir and cedar, so that we have a range of prices and “looks” available.  We treat all of our wood with Internal Wood Stabilizer (IWS), a non-toxic and locally-made product that extends the life of the lumber on which it’s used about 2x.

Options

We have three types of Project Kits:

• Raised beds: 4 ft. x 8 ft.  and 4 ft. x 4 ft. options
• The Chicken Ark (offered in partnership with TheGardenCoop.com)
• Cold frames: 4 ft. x 4 ft. and 4 ft. x 2.5 ft. options

We have three basic options for all of our kits:

#1: DIY—Project Kit plans only

• $10 each for a detailed PDF for cold frames and raised beds
• We refer folks directly to TheGardenCoop.com for Ark plans

#2: ½ & ½—Project Kit plans + all materials, ready to go

• Kits range from $180-$960 for direct sales

#3: No Hassle/Full Service—Project Kits delivered and installed

• Prices vary based on site conditions
• Expect to add ~$120 to the kit price

Buying Project Kits

Our Project Kits will be available at local retailers soon, but in the meantime, you can buy them directly from us!  Simply e-mail IndependenceGardensPDX@gmail.com to place your order.

As materials costs can fluctuate, all prices are subject to change without notice. But we’ll do our best to keep them consistent!
